He subsequently became a drawing professor at the Collège Chaptal in Paris. Millot is particularly interesting today because his work is represented in French public collections. La Forge is held by the Musée de la Faïence et des Beaux-Arts de Nevers, while Saint-Jean-Baptiste prêchant dans le Désert is preserved at the church of Colméry.
