A refined and historically significant antique oil painting. The painting and frame have recently been to a professional restorer for a full cleaning.

The composition is expansive and atmospheric. A green riverbank leads the eye toward calm waters where small boats drift gently, while bare trees line the horizon beneath a soft, clouded sky. The palette is natural and restrained, with subtle tonal shifts that reflect the quiet beauty of the landscape. The scene feels both observational and poetic, balancing realism with atmosphere in a way that draws the viewer into the stillness of the moment.

Good antique condition consistent with age. The painting shows natural craquelure and surface patina of the wood panel. The frame shows little wear wear appropriate to its age.
