Antique Dutch Dark & Moody Flower Still Life Oil Painting in Wood carved frame
A small Dutch dark and moody Impressionist antique oil painting various other flowers in a vase. This antique flower painting dates from the early 1900s and comes in a lovely gold antique frame. Some small signs of age but in overall good condition.
A note about Impressionism:
Impressionism describes a style of painting developed in France during the mid-to-late 19th century; characterisations of the style include small, visible brushstrokes that offer the bare impression of form, unblended colour and an emphasis on the accurate depiction of natural light. The founding Impressionist artists – including Claude Monet, Camille Pissarro, Alfred Sisley and Edgar Degas, among others – were united by their desire to cast off the strict rules of academic-style painting. In particular, the artists sought independence from the Académie des Beaux-Arts and its annual "Paris Salon" (which was, at the time, considered the greatest art show in the world).

Antique paintings (+100 Years) are "Duty Free" within the USA, Canada, Australia and the European Union, you should NOT be charged any additional taxes for import and duty. As nearly all items in the shop are over 100 years old and classified as “antique” or “antique art” the objects are considered “Duty Free”. Amsterdam Curated will provide the appropriate certifications for the customs officials to ensure all qualified items will be shipped with this “Duty Free” classification. In the UK, it is not "FREE" but there is a reduced VAT of 5% paid at import.

What should I do if I receive a damaged or defective item?
A: As we do package all items very carefully with large amounts of quality packing materials, in the odd situation you receive a damaged or defective item, please contact our customer service team within 3 days of delivery with your order number and a description of the issue. We will provide instructions for returning the item at our expense and arrange for a replacement or refund.
