Antique French Impressionist Floral Oil Painting in Ornate Gold Frame
A beautifully painted Impressionist floral in vase oil painting from the Paris School (L'Ecole de Paris). This French piece dates from the early 1900s and is from France. It is done in an French Impressionist style using a heavier brush and thicker impasto brining texture to the painting giving it life and standing on the canvas. Unfortunately I wasn't able to locate a signature. This oil painting is in good condition for it's age. The frame has had some repairs in the past and is noticeable when inspecting up close but not distracting. Please see all photos. This piece will bring some life and wonderful colour to any room. A great size as it will fit in most spaces around your home.
A note about the Paris School (L'Ecole de Paris):
As Paris became the world’s art capital coming into the year 1900, it attracted avant-garde artists seeking freedom of expression and a creative community beyond national schools or rigid styles. The School of Paris refers to a diverse group of artists working in Paris who embraced modernism in art but didn’t belong to a single movement. Many were immigrants who contributed to a vibrant cross-cultural exchange, blending influences from Impressionism, Cubism, Fauvism, Expressionism, and more.

As nearly all items in the shop are over 100 years old and classified as “antique” or “antique art” the objects are considered “Duty Free”. Amsterdam Curated will provide the appropriate certifications for the customs officials to ensure all qualified items will be shipped with this “Duty Free” classification. In the UK, it is not "FREE" but there is a reduced VAT of 5% paid at import.

A: As we do package all items very carefully with large amounts of quality packing materials, in the odd situation you receive a damaged or defective item, please contact our customer service team within 3 days of delivery with your order number and a description of the issue.
