This impressive large-scale French School landscape dates from the turn of the century and captures a glowing sunset across still water. The sky shifts dramatically from soft green tones into warm amber and rose hues, creating a luminous atmosphere that dominates the composition. The shoreline curves gently into the distance, with darkened foreground land balancing the brilliance of the illuminated sky and reflective water with the deepest green grass, only seen for those few minutes at dusk.
