Antique Portrait Man and Dog Oil Painting - Antique Oil on Canvas Painting of a Spanish Boy with his Whippet. From the late 19th Century, painted in the Spanish School Style.

The painting is unsigned, we do see the artist was excellent and details, especially on the Whippet; are exquisite. We were told that the boy and family were part of the Spanish Aristocracy of the 19th Century and he's likely a Duke or Count from one of the many provinces of Spain. The painting was likely commission for the family to hang in the halls. We do believe his bow tie will indicate the family crest or region he comes from in Spain. We've not conducted any additional research on the painting, but we do certainly love it.

The painting is in good condition. We do believe it went through an extensive restoration, cleaning, re-canvas and varnish in the 1990s. There is a frame that's vintage and not original to the painting, likely was added in the last restoration. It needs a bit of TLC and the gilding has flaked a little too much, so will photograph with the frame when it's back together with the painting.

Amsterdam Curated will provide the appropriate certifications for the customs officials to ensure all qualified items will be shipped with this “Duty Free” classification. In the UK, there is a reduced VAT of 5% paid at import.

How are the items packaged?

We've been running an online antiques and art business for many years now and have become specialists at packaging. All items will be packaged very carefully with the materials that are most suitable for the item.

Do you offer free international shipping?

How long will it take to receive my order?

A: Delivery times vary by destination. In general, 5-10 business days within Europe and 10-20 business days elsewhere.

What is your return policy?

A: We accept returns within 30 days of delivery. Items must be unused, in their original condition, and in the original packaging with all tags and labels attached. Please refer to our return policy for more details.
What should I do if I receive a damaged or defective item?

A: As we do package all items very carefully with large amounts of quality packing materials, in the odd situation you receive a damaged or defective item, please contact our customer service team within 3 days of delivery with your order number and a description of the issue. We will provide instructions for returning the item at our expense and arrange for a replacement or refund.
