Dated 1867 - Antique French/Spain Seascape Oil Painting in Gold Frame - Signed Dinant
Dated 1867 - A charming antique oil painting of a Coastal Scene in the South of Spain by a French painter named "Disant". We don't know the exact location but the style, lighting and architecture would indicate it is the south of Spain. We picked up this painting in Paris and it is signed "Disant", which is a French last name but unfortunately we don't know the painter. The painting has beautiful warm light of sunset at golden hour, great colours in the sky and wonderful warm tones.
Condition: The painting is in good vintage condition. It has recently been for a visit to our restorer for a professional cleaning and new varnish applied. The frame has been repaired and has some imperfections, please see all photos.
