Circa 1920 - Antique Paris Superb (Mortefontaine) Oil Painting in Montparnasse Frame
A very charming antique oil painting of a beautiful view of a French town close to Paris. Wonderful colours and very well painted, dating from around 1920. If you've ever been on a driving vacation in Rural France in the summer, this scene feels like turning every second corner. A mix of sun bleached signs that were made 100 years ago, clay homes and growing green foliage and flowers that always seem to look the perfect length between perfectly manicured and overgrown. Comes in a stunning Parisian Montparnasse frame. It is signed in the bottom right but unfortunately we can't make out the aritsts name. It is also signed in the bottom left with the town of "Mortefontaine", just outside of Paris. Interestingly, I drive past this town a couple times per month when traveling between Amsterdam and Paris. This antique oil painting has had some repairs but they are not very noticeable on the front of the work.

Amsterdam Curated will provide the appropriate certifications for the customs officials to ensure all qualified items will be shipped with this “Duty Free” classification. In the UK, it is not "FREE" but there is a reduced VAT of 5% paid at import.
