Ashanti/Asante King Procession in Bronze C1900 (First half of 20th)
A wonderful bronze group of supporters surrounding and carrying their Ashanti "Asantehene" king. A great antique dating from the first half of the 1900s. With a total of 18 figures, this Ashanti King is Surrounded by a group of 17. The Ashanti king is place on his cart being carried surrounded by dignitaries, servants and a band procession.
Great Patina showing it's age. The bronze has oxidised quite dark with time.
