Description:

A 19th Century (Circa 1880) French Antique Still Life Birds Game / Hunting Scene. This antique oil painting is very decorative and has a great look. It's clear this artist has taken a lot of influence from the impressionist gang of Pissaro, Monet, Fantin-Latour. Stylistically closest to Camille Pissaro but a bit dark and moody than Pissarro's palette with still lifes. It's very nicely painted. This antique painting would look great in a kitchen, hallway or bathroom. Signed in lower left corner, what looks like "Estournet". We dont know this artist but the name Estournet is a last name that is local to Normandy. As we found this painting in the town of Deauville, where Monet had his summer house and all the impressionists worked at some point. We suspect it's a local artist that liked to hang out and work with all the other impressionists in the late 19th century, trying to make his name. This antique oil painting and frame shows some small signs of its age but in overall good condition. Comes in a ornate gold frame.
