A wonderfully atmospheric Scottish landscape depicting an old rural cottage near the village of Rhynie in Aberdeenshire. An inscription on the reverse identifies the location as Rhynie, on the River Bogie, giving this charming landscape a particularly strong sense of place in the scottish highland.
The painting captures a humble cottage and its weathered outbuildings nestled into the surrounding countryside. The irregular roofline, overgrown vegetation and distant blue-grey hills give the scene the feeling of a quiet corner of rural Scotland preserved from another age. Rhynie lies in the Strathbogie area of Aberdeenshire, with the River Bogie. The area is characterised by rolling farmland and the hills of northeastern Scotland, a landscape that attracted numerous artists working outdoors during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
The painting has recently been professionally cleaned and revarnished, refreshing the colours while retaining its antique character and surface.

In the UK, it is not "FREE" but there is a reduced VAT of 5% paid at import.

A: As we do package all items very carefully with large amounts of quality packing materials, in the odd situation you receive a damaged or defective item, please contact our customer service team within 3 days of delivery with your order number and a description of the issue.
