An amazing French early 19th century (circa 1820) portrait oil painting of a regal French aristocrat woman. Very beautiful in oval size and in good condition for her age.
This painting recently visited with a restorer for a professional cleaning and new varnish applied. She has also had a secondary canvas added to increase her stability. This painting is now in very good condition for its 200 years of age. She's ready to be hung on the wall for future generations to enjoy. As this painting has quite some age, we do hope it will be treasured as an heirloom piece in your family.
This painting comes in a beautiful antique gold frame. The frame is has been added later and is indeed not original to the painting but still has good age, likely about 100 years old. The painting and frame show some signs of age, but in overall good condition, please see all photos.

As nearly all items in the shop are over 100 years old and classified as “antique” or “antique art” the objects are considered “Duty Free”. Amsterdam Curated will provide the appropriate certifications for the customs officials to ensure all qualified items will be shipped with this “Duty Free” classification. In the UK, it is not "FREE" but there is a reduced VAT of 5% paid at import.
