French Floral Painting circa 1930 - Oil on Marouflé Panel in its Original Frame
A delicate 1930s French floral painting executed in oil on marouflé (canvas mounted on panel). This graceful composition combines painterly refinement with the lightness of Art Deco design, framed in its elegant original carved frame.
This refined French floral study features soft pink and peach blossoms surrounded by green foliage, painted with precision and subtle shading. The artist’s restrained palette and balanced arrangement common of the interwar period, when floral subjects were used to express both modern taste and classical charm.
Executed on Marouflé — a technique in which canvas is carefully mounted on a wood panel — the painting retains a smooth, stable surface ideal for detailed work. The result is an artwork that feels timeless yet distinctly 1930s in its simplicity and poise. Presented in its period carved and gilt-accented frame, the piece offers an ideal touch of understated French elegance. Perfect for collectors of floral art and interiors with a romantic or vintage aesthetic.
Good vintage condition with minimal wear. Frame shows light patina consistent with age.
